Sinha claims BJP would form gov in J'khand after Gujarat
Jamshedpur,Jan 22 (UNI) BJP vice-president and former Union minister Yashwant Sinha today claimed that after the huge electoral success in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh, the party was all set to come to power in Jharkhand too.
Talking to newspersons on the sidelines of a function here, Mr Sinha said the party was on its way to emancipate the people of Jharkhand from the 'misrule' of the Madhu Koda led UPA government in the state.
He said the UPA government had failed on all fronts and held the Congress responsible for creating instability in the state. All the developmental work initiated by the previous BJP-led NDA government had come to a halt, he stated.
Terming the Congress' threat to withdraw support from the state government as a 'political drama', Mr Sinha said the Congress was doing great injustice to the people of the state.
He said instead of setting deadlines or publicly opposing the UPA government in Jharkhand, the Congress should withdraw its support immediately and go for a fresh mandate.
When asked if he was being projected as the next chief minister of the party, Mr Sinha said, '' It will be decided by the party, but our top priority is to free the people of Jharkhand from this inefficient government.'' Regarding the question of non-tribal chief minister in the state, Mr Sinha said ''There is no constitutional provision for tribal CM''.
Reacting to the sudden slump in stock market, the former Finance minister said the share market was being controlled by the brokers.
