Preparation of voter ID most challenging job for Cong: Agarwal
New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Jai Prakash Agarwal today said the leaders and workers of the Delhi Congress should get fully involved in preparation of new electoral rolls to ensure that no genuine voter was left out of the voters' list.
Addressing a meeting of the elected representatives and office bearers of the party, Mr Agarwal said the most challenging job for before the party before the coming Assembly elections for the state was prepapration of the voter identity cards and electoral rolls to ensure that no voter was cheated of his identity card or left out of the rolls.
He said the role of the district and block presidents and important workers at the booth level would be a decisive role in the preparation of the voters' list and it was thus essential for interaction with voters to ensure a fault-free voters' list.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting were MPs Jagdish Tytler, Sajjan Kumar, Delhi Ministers Haroon Yousuf, Mangat Ram Singhal, Yoganand Shastri and DPCC office bearers.
