Lalu to visit Puducherry soon: RJD leader
Puducherry, Jan 22 (UNI) Railway Minister Lalu Prasad is likely to visit here after the budget session of Parliament, according to Rastriya Janata Dal (RJD) MP Ganesh Prasad.
In an informal chat with newspersons, Mr Prasad, who is a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Human Resource Development, which visited the Union Territory yesterday, said Lalu Prasad would explore the possibilities for augmenting several railway projects in Puducherry and Tamil Nadu during his visit.
Expressing satisfaction over the proper utilisation of funds under Sarva Siksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme in the Union Territory, he said other states should follow the system adopted by the territorial administration for implementing the SSA scheme.
