Kisan Bhawans at Delhi, Chandigarh soon, says Bragta
Shimla, Jan 22 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Minister Narender Bragta today said the state government will soon open Kisan Bhawans at Delhi and Chandigarh to provide cheap hostels for the orchardist who visit these cities to sell their produce.
Addressing a public gathering here at Mandhol in Jubbal area of Shimla district, he said the government was also mulling at a proposal to conduct surveys for creating new Subzi Mandi in Jubbal and Kotkhai.
Mr Bragta said the existing facilities in the Shimla-based Mandi would be upgraded to facilitate the marketing of the agricultural produce, besides providing sale of pesticide, fungicides, and chemical fertilizers to the farmers near their homes.
