Gold ornaments worth Rs 2.40 lakh robbed from a company

Bangalore, Jan 22: Gold Ornaments worth Rs 2.40 lakh was robbed from Rajesh Exports, a leading Gold Manufacturing and Export Company at Whitefield, in the outskirts of the City in the wee hours.

Police said yesterday a four member gang, however, failed in their attempt to open the locker, in which, manufactured ornaments were kept and a big haul of robbery was averted.

Joint Commissioner (Crime) Gopal B Hosur said police have taken two security guards, who were on duty in the premises for questioning, as they had given confusing statement over the incident.

A complaint had been received from a senior official of Rajesh Exports, Mr Gopal added.
