Dasmunsi concerned over Bird flu epidemic
Guwahati, Jan 22 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today expressed serious concern over the spread of Avian flu to several other districts of West Bengal.
''I am more worried as it is suspected to have infected five human beings in Murishdabad,'' Mr Dasmunsi told the mediapersons here.
However, he asked the people not to get panicked as there were enough vaccines and medicines to prevent the disease turning into an epidemic, he added.
The Union Minister was here to attend a series of programme related to his ministry and vernacular newspapers of the state.
He also expressed his dissatisfaction over the 'sense of gravity' shown by the West Bengal government.
