After night, day in Kashmir also turns cold
Srinagar, Jan 22 (UNI) People in the Kashmir valley continued to shiver after the maximum temperature too dipped two degrees below normal while the night remained chilly with minus 5.4 degree Celsius recorded this morning.
It was cold during the day after the maximum temperature was recorded 3.2 degrees C, two degree below normal.
There was however slight improvement in the night temperature.
A weather office spokesman said the minimum temperature was recorded minus 5.4, two degrees below normal but 0.3 degree above against yesterday's minimum.
Drass, the second coldest place in the world after Siberia and nearby Kargil also reel under severe cold with maximum and minimum dipping to 10 degrees and 17 degrees below normal.
