Journalists stage protest rally
Ahmedabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Journalists and employees of media houses in Gujarat today held a protest rally here to highlight the recent attacks on the media.
The employees said no arrests have been made so far despite promises of swift action from the state Home Minister and top police officials.
Members of Hindu Samrajya Sena, had allegedly attacked the NDTV office here and its leader Ashok Sharma has been named the main accused in the case.
The provocation for the attack was that NDTV was running an opinion poll, asking who should be awarded the 'Bharat Ratna', in which one of the choices was noted painter M F Hussain.
