Bravery award winners meet Vice President
New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Eighteen children--winners of National Bravery Award 2007 -- today met Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, who assured them all sorts of assistance for their bright future.
Congratulating them for their courageous acts, the Vice President said they deserved more as they saved the lives of the people.
He wished them big success in life.
Twentytwo children--18 boys and four girls--have been conferred with the award, four of them posthumously.
The awardees included 17-year-old Babita and 15-year-old Amarjeet of Haryana, who had saved several of their school mates from drowning, when their bus had fallen down in the Yamuna Canal.
