PM Koirala suffers from respiratory problem
Kathmandu, Jan 20 (UNI) Nepal Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today experienced respiratory problem due to asthma, local media reported.
After examining the PM at his residence in Baluwatar this afternoon, senior cardiologist Dr Bhagwan Koirala and Dr Man Bahadur KC advised the octogenarian leader to avoid cold and open space, Kantipur said.
Doctors said the PM is recovering rather slowly and problems are seen in his lungs probably due to his medical history of chronic bronchitis, old age and his previously smoking habit.
Only last week, doctors had suggested PM Koirala not to attend public programmes and take complete rest for a few days, it said.
