Free accident insurance for Prasar Bharti's part time correspondents

Siddharthnagar, Jan 20 (UNI) Akhil Bharatiya Aakashvani Doordarshan Correspondent Welfare Association has decided to provide Rs 5 lakh free accident insurance cover to the part-time correspondents of Prasar Bharti in about 500 district head quarters across the country.

'' The premium of the accident insurance would be bear by the Association,'' secretary general of Akhil Bharatiya Aakashvani Doordarshan Correspondent Welfare Association Anand Tripathi told UNI today.

Besides, the association was planning to bring a pension scheme in assistance with the state governments for the part time correspondents, he added.
