Diggy ready for ''any action'' by MP govt
Bhopal, Jan 20 (UNI) Reacting to the Madhya Pradesh Economic Offences Wing (EOW) registering a first information report (FIR) regarding an alleged land scam, Congress General Secretary and former chief minister Digvijay Singh today said that he would accept any action by the state government in this connection.
''The EOW has already probed the matter twice,'' he claimed in a release issued from his local office.
Following a Dewas court order, the EOW registered the FIR against eight people, including Mr Singh, former minister Chandraprabhash Shekhar and a retired Indian Administrative Service officer. The court order was on a complaint by Mr Mahesh Garg. The judge directed the EOW's director-general to submit a report by February 22.
The complaint alleged that an industrialist was unduly benefitted.
