Himachal govt to formulate uniform policy over teachers' appointment
Shimla, Jan 19 (UNI) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal today said in obedience to the orders of State High Court, the state government will formulate a uniform policy over the appointment of teachers under PTA.
At his official residence 'Oakover' the Chief Minister heard the delegation of PTA teachers. He said the interests of teachers deployed in various parts of the state, under this policy, would be protected and all aspects would be taken in to consideration to accommodate them.
''Government will not work under any political vendetta and all decision, ensuring maximum transparency, will be taken on merit basis,'' he added.
Decision to carry recruitment on 50 per cent batchwise and 50 per cent direct for all the professional vacancies had already been taken to be implemented in principle, and merit and seniority would be given due priority in recruitment carried in a transparent manner, he asserted.
