Black flags to Mayawati;8 SP activists arrested
Bhubaneswar,Jan 19 (UNI) The city police today arrested eight Samajwadi Party activists for staging a black-flag demonstration against Bahujan Samaj Party supremo and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati at the Biju Patnaik airport.
Police said as Ms Mayawati on her arrival at the Biju Patnaik airport proceeded to the city,the Samajwadi party activist present near the CISF check post,started raising slogan ''Mayawati go back'' and waived black flags to her.
The police immediately swung into action and arrested eight SP activists from the spot. They would be forwarded to the court tomorrow,sources said.
Ms Mayawati will be addressing a public rally here tomorrow.
