TRAI to fine telecom companies for unsolicited calls

If

are
being
troubled
by
pesky
telemarketers
even
after
registering
your
number
in
the
National
Do-Not-Call
registry,
relief
may
finally
be
at
hand.
According to sources TRAI has proposed that service providers will be fined Rs 5,000 if an NDNC registered customer gets a telemarketing call. According to a TRAI official stiff regulations have been imposed in order to increase the effectiveness of the regulation thereby reducing inconvenience to the subscribers.
