Three killed in road accident in HP

Shimla, Jan 18 (UNI) At least three people died and an equal number were severely injured at Theog, about 32 km away from here, when a vehicle they were traveling in veered off the road and turtled down into a deep gorge.

Police said while two people identified as Gayaru Ram (62) and Kewal Ram (38) died on the spot, another identified as Chet Ram succumb to death on way to hospital.

Three others severely injured were identified as Daulat Ram, Paras Ram and Sanjay Sahil who have been rushed to a local hospital here.

The vehicle, which was on its way to Dencha Village from Shilaru in the district, was carrying six people when it met with an accident, the police said, adding that the cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known.

A case has been registered and investigations are on.
