Suicide attack in Peshawar claims 10 lives

{image-peshawar blast_18012008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Peshawar, Jan 18: At least 10 people were killed and 25 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a Shia congregation hall in the northwestern Pakistani city of Peshawar on Thursday.

The Federal Interior Ministry has confirmed that the blast was a suicide attack. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals of the city. According to a few eyewitnesses, the blast occurred at the door of Imam Bargah. The police have cordoned off the area. Meanwhile, a high alert has been declared in Karachi after the bomb blast. The United States Embassy has advised the US nationals to observe caution and avoid to go outside of homes unnecessarily, The News reported.
