during

last
48
hours
in
Manipur.
Official sources said here today that Manipur Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh was present in New Delhi to discuss the law and order situation with central leaders. Police said during the past 48 hours, six persons were shot dead by unknown miscreants in separate incidents. Three persons were shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Wangkhei in Imphal East yesterday.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister in-charge Th Debendra Singh was given the responsibility to ensure the arrest of those involved in the killing.
Besides, three youths were shot dead at Meitram Awang in Bishenpur district by unknown persons on January 16.
Police killed a suspected militant at Khurai Sajor Leikai in Imphal East yesterday. In a seperate incident, two miscreants were shot dead by police at the Imphal West area on January 16.
