Police team constituted for Cong MLA's arrest
Muzaffarnagar, Jan 18 (UNI) A police team has been set up for the arrest of Congress MLA Pankaj Mallik, who is accused of assaulting a dalit District Development Officer (DDO) here.
According to police today, police personnel raided several places in the city late yesterday, but failed to swoop upon the absconding MLA from Baghra assembly seat.
Meanwhile, eight persons, including a student union leader, Kookra Block Pramukh Yogendra, district panchayat members Pushpendra Sharma and Kayyum, had been arrested for allegedly assaulting dalit officer Bhramaswaroop.
