One killed, security force picket attacked in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 18 (UNI) One person was shot dead and a security force camp attacked by militants in north Kashmir overnight, official sources said today.

They said the bullet riddled body of one Bashir Ahmad was recovered from Panzala forest in Baramulla district this morning. He was abducted recently.

Militants fired two rifle grenades and opened fire towards a security force picket at cement bridge, Baramulla last night.

Security forces also retaliated but the militants managed to escape.

No one was injured, they said.
