Two Lankans held with fake passports

Chennai, Jan 16: The Airport Police arrested two Sri Lankan Tamils on the charge of attempting to board an aircraft with fake passport at the Anna International Airport here, early today.

Airport sources said Kulenthiran (27), hailing from Neerveli near Jaffna, was arrested after the Immigration officials found his passport to be fake. He was about to board a Toronto-bound Jet Airways flight.

In another incident, Simith Prasanna (44), hailing from Elangayil near Kandy, was arrested with a fake passport. He had booked ticket in a London-bound British Airways flight.
