Tata signs MoU with US and UK universities

Mumbai, Jan 15: Tata Group has signed MoUs with the universities of California, Berkeley, USA and Cambridge, UK for its Tata International Social Entrepreneurship Scheme (TISES) programme to promote international understanding among students.

''TISES is an initiative to engage with students from abroad to help promote international understanding as well as provide these students unique learning opportunities,'' said R Gopalakrishnan, ED, Tata Sons. Under the programme, the universities will send five students each from the undergraduate or higher study level, for an eight-week summer internship at Tata Group's community initiative programmes, a release stated.
