Springsteen settles pricey show horse lawsuit for $200,000

New York, Jan 16 : American rocker Bruce Springsteen has settled a legal case concerning an expensive show horse with an out of court settlement.

Olympic equestrian Todd Minikus sued Springsteen of breaking his promise on a contract to buy his star gelding, Pavarotti, for 850,000 dollars.

According to a report in The Palm Beach Post, the horse was meant for helping the Boss' teen daughter, Jessica, in her budding equestrian career, but it "didn't perform well" after Springsteen put down a 25,000-dollar deposit.

The report also says that the rocker paid 200,000 pounds to settle the case, reports the New York Post.

Springsteen's rep refused to comment on the issue.
