Spanco to develop e-Seva centres in AP

Hyderabad, Jan 16 (UNI) Spanco Telesystems and Solutions Limited has been awarded the contract to develop 49 e-Seva centres in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Ranga Reddy districts under Build, Own, Operate, Maintain and Transfer (BOOMT) basis.

As per the contract, the Spanco should increase the number of e-Seva centres to 66, a company release here said.

The government estimated a cost saving of Rs 30 crore during the tenure of the contract.

Around 14 million transactions were made last year with a total collection of over Rs 2000 crore.

With the addition of various Government to Citizen (G2C) services and Business to Citizen (B2C) services, Spanco expects a substantial increase in the collection and total transaction figures.

Spanco would refurbish the e-Seva centers, making them more user-friendly. Hand-held bill paying machines would be introduced at the e-Seva centres to help senior citizens, the release added.
