Southern Ispat to merge with Kerala Sponge
New Delhi, Jan 16: Southern Ispat Ltd, a specialised steelmaker, today said the board has approved its merger with Kerala Sponge Iron Ltd.
''The Managing Director is authorised to carry on with the discussions with the board of Kerala Sponge Iron Ltd and to inform the board regarding the progress of discussions,'' company said in a statement. The Kerala-based company's board also gave nod to change its name to Southern Ispat&Power Ltd.
