One more nomination filed for Simaria bypolls
Chatra, Jan 16 (UNI) One more nomination was filed today for the February 4 Simaria Assembly bypolls, taking the total to four.
The last date for filing nomination is January 17 and January 21 is the last date for withdrawal.
Sub-divisional officer-cum-electoral officer Bhagwan Das said here today that Ms Anjali Bhokta filed here nomination as an Independent.
Earlier, nominations had been filed by Jaiprakash Singh Bhokta for Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Democratic), Ramchandra Ram for CPI and CPI(Maoist) ultra Kuldeep Ganjhu as an Independent.
The notification for the bypoll, which was necessitated following the death of BJP's Upendra Nath Das, was issued on January 10.
Meanwhile, the CPI(M), RJD and JMM announced to extend their support to Mr Ram.
Counting of votes would take place on February 7.
