Nitish govt "misleading" people : Paswan
Darbhanga, Jan 16 (UNI) Steel Chemical and Fertiliser Minister and LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan today accused the state government of "misleading" the people in the name of good governance as nothing substatial had been done so far.
Addressing a rally here, Mr Paswan said the Nitish Kumar government was just making announcements without bothering about their promises.
He maintained that law and order had deteriorated further as rate of crimes had increased and condition of roads in the state had worsened as well despite tall promises of the government.
He also claimed that if the joint effort made by Central government in association with SAIL was not made on time for relief work and rescue operation during flood, the toll would have gone much higher.
The health camps installed by SAIL was of vital importance to thousands of flood victims, he added.
''When I took over the Steel Ministry, the SAIL was running in loss of Rs 1500 crore, now it's a profit-making PSU with Rs 15,000 crore as net profit,'' the Minister stated further claiming increase in the production capacity of SAIL up to 10,000 crore ton by 2010 with the investment of Rs 50,000 crore in the unit.
