Iran seeks Indian investment in its gas field
New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) Iran today invited country's both private and public sector companies in developing gas fields in Iran with a possibility to set up LNG facilities and an arrangement to export LNG to India.
''Indian companies whether private or public can come and invest in our gas fields,'' Iran Economic Affairs and Finance Danesh Jafari told reporters here.
Dr Jafari added that there is a 'win-win' situation for both the countries.
The Indian companies can set up a LNG terminal and if they want they can import LNG to India, sources said.
The Iranian government is considering some amendments in its constitution in order to make core sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals and steel investment friendly.
