New Delhi, Jan 16 (UNI) Following the first-ever joint army exercises by Indian and Chinese armies, the air forces of the two are also set to undertake a similar venture, with the details to be worked out during the IAF chief's forthcoming visit to China.

Air Chief Marshal F H Major will be undertaking a visit to China in the last week of March or first week of April, and discussions about joint exercises are on the agenda, IAF sources today said.

The IAF chief had frequently alluded to the possibility of such exercises, as both countries and forces were keen on them.

The details of the proposed exercise will be arrived at the annual Defence Dialogue between the two countries, the sources said, adding that a similar procedure was used for the joint Army exercises.

Air Chief Marshal Major's visit takes place at the invitation of the Chinese Air Force Chief, who had visited India last year, the sources added.
