15 receive burn injuries in cracket mishap

Hubli, Jan 16: Fifteen people received burn injuries in a cracker mishap at Kanavalli village of Haveri district in the early hours of today.

According to the police, the incident occurred when the villagers were participating in a fair of village deity Dyamawwa display of fireworks had been arranged. However the cracker line which was prepared on the occasion burst suddenly causing injuries to the devotees.

Nine of the seriously injured have been shifted to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) here, where their condition was stated to be critical the sources added.
