allocation
of

per
cent
in
the
Union
Budget
for
the
betterment
of
Schedule
Castes
and
Schedule
Tribes.
Dalit Action Committee chairman Lahori Ram Bali in a letter written to Union Finance Minister P Chidambram demanded that Centre should allot a share of 15 per cent of the Central Budget for the welfare of the Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes.
Every year a sum of nearly Rs 10,00 crore, alloted for the welfare of the SCs/STs, was being misused, he alleged adding that this should not be repeated in future.
