Badminton squad for national championship announced

Jalandhar, Jan 16 (UNI) Punjab Badminton Association (PBA) today announced the team for the National Badminton Championship to be held at Panjim in Goa from January 19 to 27.

PBA general secretary Rajinder Kalsi in a press note issued here today stated that 10-member squad would consists of seven men and three women players.

He said the men's team consists of Opinder Pal Singh (Captain), Mayank Behl, Lakhwinder Singh, Varun Khanna, Sandeep Kumar, Raj Kumar and Pranav Chopra, while the women's team comprises of Seher Chadha, Jaspreet Kaur and Amritpal Kaur.

Mr Kalsi said that Rajiv Verma and Mangat Rai Sharma would accompany the team as manager and coach respectively.
