Vishnoi's protest unveiling of Salman's wax statue

Jodhpur, Jan 15 (UNI) The Vishnoi community today protested the installation of Salman Khan's wax statue in the Madame Tussuads museum in London, calling it ''inappropriate'' to confer the honour on the actor who was accused in the black bucks and chinkara poaching cases.

Akhil Bharatiya Jeev Raksha Vishnoi Sabha gave a memorandum to Jodhpur Divisional Commissioner Kiran Soni Gupta and asked her to convey their displeasure to the British High Commission and the museum management.

Legal Advisor Mahipal Vaishnoi pointed out that, ''the unveiling of Salman Khan's statue who is facing trail in the court is an insult to other celebrites like Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan whose stautes are already installed in the museum.'' They asked Amitabh, Aishwarya and Shah Rukh also to protest the decision.

They asked the museum management to review their decision to install the statue of the controversial actor.
