One dead, eight injured in road accident
Kolhapur, Jan 15 (UNI) A woman was killed and eight others injured, when their vehicle fell deep down from a bridge, near the Pune-Bangalore national highway today.
The accident occurred when they were were returning back after visiting the holy 'jotirling' of lord Shiva in Khed-Shivapur near Pune. Their vehicle's tyre busted on the bridge near Vathar and it fell down from a height of about 70 to 80 feet, police said.
The deceased, who was identified as Sushila Dinkar Bogavle (35), died on the spot while all the injured were rushed to the civil hospital here, police added.
