Four arrested for attack of Deputy Adv General in Jammu
Jammu, Jan 15 (UNI) Police have arrested four people in connection with the attack on Deputy Advocate General of Jammu and Kashmir high court Ajit Singh Dogra at Akalpur road on the city outskirts on Thursday, official spokesman said today.
The accused were identified as Vishal alias Vishu, Raj Kumar alias Raju, Ashok alias Shoki and Max.
The main accused in the case, Vishal and Raj Kumar were apprehended from Mukerian (Punjab) while on their disclosure two were arrested from Jagti, about 12 km from here, the spokesman said.
''When a police team raided their hideout, Ashok and Max fired on from a country-made pistol and attempted to escape. However, the police overpowered them,'' he said.
A case under section 307 RPC and 3/25 Arms act was registered against Ashok, who was injured and admitted to the GMC, Jammu.
On January 10, Mr Dogra was shot at and critically wounded while he going home.
