Congress likely to have three party heads in J
Jammu, Jan 15 (UNI) With a view to strengthen its hold at grass roots level for the coming assembly elections, the congress is likely to appoint three party heads, each for Jammu region, Kashmir region and the Ladakh area, sources here said today.
''After Mr Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed tendered his resignation from the post of Jammu and Kashmir pradesh congress committee (JKPCC) president following corruption charges, the congress is planning to have 'three heads' of for Pradesh Congress Committee in the state in view of the elections later this year,'' a highly placed party source told UNI.
The party is discussing the names who would share the responsibility of party in the state, the sources said.
Meanwhile sources said Mr Peerzada Mohammad Sayeed's resignation from the post of education minister had been accepted by governor Lt Gen S K Sinha today.
