Blue Star bags Rs 38 crore order

Mumbai, Jan 15 (UNI) Blue Star has bagged a Rs 38 crore order, for airconditioning India's first indigenously designed Fast Breeder Reactor, from the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL) for its Kalpakkam project.

NPCIL has been entrusted to set up Fast Breeder Reactors by the Central Government and a 500 MW Fast Breeder Reactor will be set up at the cost of approximately Rs 3500 crore at Kalpakkam, a release issued by Blue Star said.

The Fast Breeder Reactor is being built using the design and technology developed at the Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research (IGCAR), also located at Kalpakkam.
