Tamil Nadu seeks Rs 89 crore aid from Centre

said
the
Tamil
Nadu
government
had
requested
the
Centre
to
release
a
sum
of
Rs
89
crore
for
providing
civic
facilities
in
Jayamkondam,
Ariyalur
and
Perambalur
municipal
towns.
Inaugurating an integrated housing and slum development scheme here yesterday, the Minister said the scheme, to be implemented at an outlay of Rs 6.26 crore, would benefit the slum dwellers.
He said a total of 580 houses would be constructed under the scheme, jointly funded by the Central and state governments.
