SP to strengthen base in AP: Amar Singh

Hyderabad, Jan 14 (UNI) Samajwadi Party (SP) General Secretary Amar Singh today said the party would be strengthened in Andhra Pradesh to face 2009 Assembly elections.

Participating in a meeting of the State party leaders here, Mr Singh said the people were supporting the SP as it was committed to strengthen the 'secular fabric' and was opposing terrorist activities.

He said the party would organise 'political' awareness programmes among the weaker sections, who were denied power in the successive Governments.
