Security arrangments in Bedhaghat to be beefed

Jabalpur, Jan 14 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Ajay Vishnoi has given instructions to increase security arrangements at world-famous tourist spots Bedhaghat and New Bedhaghat.

Mr Vishnoi also gave directions to construct half-km long railing and wire fencing to prevent accidents at New Bedhaghat area. The directions were provided at a meeting -- regarding security arrangements at Bedhaghat -- here yesterday.

He said caution must be exercised that increasing security arrangements do not cause damage to natural beauty.

Several other decisions regarding security, cleaning and providing comfort to tourists were taken.

Divisional Commissioner Anil Srivastava, Bedhghat panchayat Chief Executive Officer Jayshree, Collector Sanjay Dubey, PWD Superintending Engineer V K Jain and other officers were present.

Recently, four people, including two women, had drowned in Bedhaghat. Last year, about a dozen people had drowned in the waterfall.
