PTV denies having video footage of Bhutto's killers

{image-Benazir Bhutto_14012008.jpg news.oneindia.in}Islamabad, Jan 14: Pakistan's state-run television, PTV has refuted PPP's allegation that it had the TV footage showing Benazir's assassins running away from the scene after killing her on December 27.

PPP leader Babar Awan had earlier made the allegation that PTV had such footage, which could be helpful in tracing out the assassins. Refuting these allegations, a PTV spokesman said that all 'important' video clips of the event recorded by PTV had been aired. All videos of the event had been shared with the Interior Ministry were in the channel's archives, the Daily Times quoted him as saying.

The allegation was "incorrect, baseless and malafide", he said and added: "Politicisation of this issue by the PPP leadership is highly regretted."
