MP govt not implementing central law: Bhuria

Narsinghpur, MP, Jan 14 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Agriculture Kantilal Bhuria today alleged that despite the Centre having enacted a law to provide land ownership rights to tribals, the Madhya Pradesh regime was not implementing it and that was why title deeds were not being received.

''Sheer disarray has resulted in non-percolation of central schemes' benefit to this state's poor,'' he said while addressing a tribal convention at Sakalghat on the Narmada's bank. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Pachauri, Dwarka Shardapeeth Shankaracharya Swaroopanand Saraswati and several Congress leaders were also present.

Mr Bhuria alleged that tribals were vexed by paucity of kerosene owing to irregularities in the distribution system.

''Caste-based politics is lethal in a democracy and those indulging in such politics have always failed,'' the shankaracharya said.
