Minister directed to check adulteration of diesel

Panaji, Jan 14 (UNI) Goa Assembly speaker Pratapsinh Rane today directed Civil Supplies Minister Jose Philip D'Souza to ''pull up'' the department officials and check adulteration of diesel with kerosene.

Intervening in the question hour on the subject, the Speaker gave the directive to the Minister following concern expressed by the opposition on large scale adulteration by hawkers.

The Minister was also directed to inform about the action taken, before the House concludes on January 18.
