Mercury drops due in Raj northerly winds

Jaipur, Jan 14 (UNI) Icy Northerly winds brought down the temperature in Rajasthan in the last few days.

According to Met department Churu and Udaipur remained the coldest places with 2.3 and 2.6 degrees ceslius respectively while Pilani reported a minimum temperature of 3.7 degrees celsius.

The minimum temperatures recorded at major palces in the state are Jaipur and Bikaneer 5.6 degree ceslius, Chittorgarh 6, Ganganagar 6.7, Rawatbhata 6.8, Bharatpur 7.9, Jaisalmer 8.2, Jodhpur 9.9, Kota 10.2, Ajmer 10.4 degrees celsius.

The Met department said the cold wave likely to subside in the next few days with bright sunshine heating up the days.
