Delhi blasts accused found prima facie guilty
New Delhi, Jan 14 (UNI) A city court today framed charges agsinst five people in the 2005 Delhi serial blasts in which over 50 people were killed.
Additional Sessions judge Babulal ordered charges to be framed aginst Tariq Ahmed Darr, Mohd Rafiq Shah, Mohd Hussain Fazli, Farooq Ahmed Batloo and Ghulab Ahmed Khan in connection with the serial blasts that rocked Delhi on October 29 three years ago.
The court framed charges agsinst Darr, Shah and Fazli under sections 120 B IPC (criminal conspiracy), section 121 IPC (waging war against the Indian government), section 122 IPC (collecting arms for waging war against the Indian government), sec 302 IPC (murder), 307 (attempt to murder) and various other sections of the Explosives Act and the Unlawful Activities Act.
The charges agsinst the rest were framed under the Unlawful Activities Act.
On January 4, the court after hearing the defence and the prosecution arguments had reserved its order against the accused.
The pre-Diwali blasts had occurred in Sarojani Nagar and Paharganj markets and in a DTC bus in the Govindpuri area, killing over 50 people and wounding several others.
