Adampur coldest at -0.6 degrees C in Punjab
Jalandhar, Jan 14 (UNI) Adampur airbase near here turned out to be the coldest place in Punjab as mercury dipped to sub-zero temperature again after a gap of more than a week.
According to a Defence spokesperson, the minimum temperature at Adampur plunged to minus 0.6 degrees Celsius, whereas at Halwara airbase near Ludhiana, it was at 3.8 degrees Celsius.
The holy city of Amritsar shivered at 2.0 degrees. The border town of Pathankot was cold at 4.4 degrees, while in Bathinda, it hovered around at 7.0 degrees Celsius.
For the next 24 hours, the Met office has predicted fog and mist in the morning and cloudy sky with possibility of rains during the day.
