Unidentified object falls on house roof, explodes

Pathanamthitta, Jan 13 (UNI) The inmates of a house were panic stricken when an unidentified object fell on their roof and exploded at Thengamom near Adoor in this district today.

Police said though a few tiles were broken in the impact, no major damage was reported.

On information, police and fire personnel rushed to the spot.

A thorough search was conducted and a cylindrical metal object of 13 cm length and two inch radius was recovered.

The object would be produced in the court, before sending it to forensic department, police added.
