Three of family killed in TN

Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, Jan 13 (UNI) Three of a family were killed on the spot when a container-lorry hit the rear of the motorcycle in which they were travelling on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway this evening.

Police said Vallavan (32) and his family had come to the Puzhal Prison here to meet his sister-in-law running a canteen there.

After some time, Vallavan took his son Doraisingam (four and half years old) and daughter Srinidhi (3 years old) on his motorcycle for a ride leaving his wife with his sister-in-law when the lorry hit them.

Police rushed to the spot and removed the bodies for post-mortem.

Further investigations were on.
