Three killed, 2 injured as MUV overturns in Surat

Surat, Jan 12 (UNI) Three people were killed and two others injured when their multi-utility vehicle turned turtle after hitting the road divider here early today.

The vehicle first struck the road divider and then overturned, in which the driver of the vehicle and two of the pavement sleepers were killed, police said.

The person at the wheel has been identified as Dharmesh Desai (35), who was working as assistant manager in the Gujarat Gas Company. The identity of two others has not been ascertained as yet, police said.

The injured, identified as Dharesh Patel and Vipul Patel, have been admitted to a local hospital, they added.
