Scribe booked for extortion

Mumbai, Jan 13 (UNI) Police have registered a case of extortion against a scribe of a local TV channel.

According to the police, the case was registered at the Samta Nagar police station in Kandivali, a suburb in North Mumbai, on a complaint by one Ramvishal Rajmani Sharma last evening.

Ramvishal, in his complaint, stated that Shravan Sharmaa, a resident of the Thakur village in Kandivali and working with Saber Channel, a local TV news channel, had been allegedly demanding Rs one lakh for not airing a news story about him, the police added.
